First Day of Kindergarten!

Oh my goodness! Can you believe it! Abby started Kindergarten today! What a BIG day! And we have been waiting for it with much excitement! We are so happy with the school that she is going to and so excited for Abby to experience it all! Abby was so excited last night that it took her forever to fall asleep. Then she was up extra early bursting with desire to get to her class. Much thanks to Gram for coming over so that Jason and I could both drop her off and pick her up today. We walked her to her classroom and with big smiles said our goodbye's. I thought I might cry, but I was just to excited for her. When we picked her up she was full of good reports. She loved it! To celebrate, Jason and I took her to Johnny Rocket's for lunch!

Abby, here's to a great year!

Emily is 6 months old!

Little miss Emily! Sooooo sweet and sooooo cute! A lot has changed with Emily since my last post! So here is kind of a jumbled update. About 4 months old, she started rolling over. First back to front, then, not to long after, front to back. There were a few frustrating weeks when she would roll on to her tummy the instant you put her down and then SCREAM. You would roll her over onto her back, then she would instantly roll onto her tummy and SCREAM. This would happen over and over again. But there is one sure thing about babies... they never stop changing! So she figured it out pretty quick. We dedicated her on Father's Day. She was really cute, but she did a lot of screaming. Maybe it was because I put one of those big bows in her hair! That is at least what Jason tells me! Somewhere in the 5th month she got her first teeth! The bottom two at the same time. One step closer to feeding herself! She continues to be quite the sleeping champ! She sleeps for 13 hours at night! And still takes 2 2-hour naps during the day. It is pretty awesome! She really is such a sweet baby! Loves to laugh and smile. She thinks her sisters are hilarious! She just started to try and talk to them. She looks at them and says "AH!" to get their attention. If they say "AH" back, she will smile and say it again. She is starting to get up on her knees so I am guessing crawling is just around the corner. Abby and Kate LOVE her and still love giving her kisses upon kisses! My three little girls! Life is sweet!

Happy 5th Birthday Abby!

As usual, this post is a tad bit late! But still certainly noteworthy! On June 30th Abby turned 5! What a BIG day! We started the day with a trip to the movie theater. Jason, myself, Abby and Kate all went to see Toy Story 3. This was Katie's first movie and Abby's second at the theater. As expected, they loved it! And I love the new $5 movies at AMC! After the movie we had a SUPER MAJOR event in our home... Abby's first haircut! Yep, that's right, first haircut. Granted, a little later than most, but I just couldn't bear cutting those beautiful locks. But the day and the time finally arrived, and... she is absolutely adorable!!! Jason and I laughed at the total difference exhibited once again between Abby and Kate. Abby couldn't have sat more still and compliant and Kate was totally antsy and throwing tantrums in the chair next to her :). We stopped by Subway, Abby's favorite, for lunch. Then headed to Papa and Gramma's house for the big birthday bash. Gramma bought one of those bouncy houses, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all the littles. It was a fabulous day and full of memories! I can't believe my little princess is 5!

Haley the Aspiring Photographer

There are many wonderful things that we love about Haley. One of them is that she is an aspiring photographer. Which means that whenever she is around she grabs my camera and takes lots of pictures! Which happens to make my life a lot easier! She babysat for me this morning and so I just checked my camera. Sure enough I found some great shots! Here are some that I thought were really cool.

House Guest!

My parents have this really sweet golden retriever named Billie. She is actually quite the amazing dog! She is kind of a miniature golden. She never got big and fluffy. Other than some grey in the face, she still looks like a 9 month puppy! She lives for play! She literally will run till she rips the pads of her feet and her paws are bleeding! And she keeps playing! It is actually quite sad and we have to limit her play. Several years ago, we found out that she will actually dive to the bottom of the swimming pool to retrieve a toy! I have never seen this before! She goes vertical in the water and will kick her way to the bottom! She is the sweetest dog and super gentle. We love her to pieces!

Whenever my parents go on vacation, we have the privilege of dog-sitting! It is quite the event around here. The girls love having her and being able to chase her all day long! Katie especially loves her! All she wants to do is be with her and play and cuddle! It is just precious!
